The first “devil’s week” of this year Euroleague continues and the matches that await us are expected to be very impressive. On Thursday (17/10) there are five games that will attract a lot of attention even from neutral fans.
Surely the game that all the lights are focused on is the one that will take place in Madrid between Real Madrid and Panathinaikos. But the rest of the games have given their interest.
Armani will face Zalgiris. The Italians have made a disappointing start to the year, as they were defeated by the Monaco with 93-80while the previous matchday they suffered a tough defeat in the SEF against Olympiakos with a score of 89-68. The only victory they achieved was against the neophyte Paris for the 2nd matchday of the competition (79-74) and this one with characteristic difficulty.
The Lithuanians on the other hand already have a satisfactory harvest with two wins and one loss. His team Andrea Trinkeri made the big surprise at the premiere by defeating her Barcelona with 74-67 and immediately filled with confidence. He may have lost to Olympiacos (74-68) however, he had a pretty good image, which turned into a positive result the previous matchday against Virtus Bologna for a narrow 71-68 victory.
The “battle” between is expected to be impressive Bayern and Paris. The newly enlightened French with an improbable appearance led him Panathinaikos in an unexpected defeat punishing him 84-80. This was the team’s first win in the tournament and it was against the champions, so no one should underestimate them now.
On the other hand, Bayern got the season off to a great start with a great win over her Real Madrid (97-89) scoring with particular ease against the “Queen”. But he failed to build on this result as well with Panathinaikos (94-79), but also with Partizan (86-78) he could not avoid the negative results.
Detailed schedule for Thursday (17/10):
Alba Berlin-Fenerbahce (20:30)
Maccabi Tel Aviv-Partizan (21:05)
Milan-Zalgiris Kaunas (21:30)
Bayern-Paris (21:45)
