AEK: “It’s important to ignore every challenge, we don’t deal with the opponent”

“In this particular match we have to ignore every possible challenge” says PAE AEK in the announcement it issued at noon on Saturday ahead of the derby with PAOK at OPAP Arena.

In detail:

The upcoming match against PAOK at OPAP Arena (20/10, 20.30) naturally has special requirements in terms of security. For another home match we must all do everything possible to protect AEK from any danger and effectively support it to reach victory.

They are BIG and don’t need a special analysis, as in this particular match we have to ignore every possible challenge. Ignore anything that aims to cause trouble for AEK and turn the circumstances of the match in favor of the opponent. If we don’t deal with it like this, the only thing that will happen will be to create a problem for AEK and ourselves. We don’t deal with the adversary, we don’t deal with any kind of challenge.

We protect AEK and our headquarters by avoiding in any way the throwing of any object, smoke generator, sparkler, flare, firecracker. We want OPAP Arena open in its entirety and for all home matches, we know the strict penalty framework and behave accordingly. A very important cup match with Aris follows in New Philadelphia.

The doors to the OPAP Arena will open at 17.30. The measures to maintain order will be particularly increased. There will be strict controls at the entrances and banners or placards with abusive / racist / unsportsmanlike / provocative content will not be allowed to enter the stadium.
