Flooding in eastern Spain has spread worldwide grief with shocking images circulating online.
These floods, in addition to enormous material damage, have also caused 158 deaths, and experts report that the number is expected to increase.
From Thursday to Saturday there will be three days of national mourning for the country, while among the victims is a young football player.
The unlucky one Jose Castigejo who passed away at the age of 28, took his first football steps in its academies Valencia while he competed in their jerseys Eldense, Bunol, Recambios Colon, Roda, Torre Levante and Villamarxad.
The “bats” announced their farewell to the former football player of the team with a moving message:
“Valencia deeply regrets the death of Jose Castigejo, victim of the DANA disasters. “Jose Castilejo was a member of the Valencia Academy up to the club’s Youth team stage and has played for many teams in the Valencia community.”
