41st Authentic Athens Marathon: 73,000 entries

The two days of November 9 and 10 will be held in Athens o 41st Authentic Marathon. In addition to the classic route of 42,195 meters, the 5 and 10 kilometer races are scheduled. A total of 73,000 runners will take partwhile 21,000 of them will be at the start of the 41st Athens Marathon on Sunday for the route to the Panathenaic stadium.

These are the numbers of the 41st Authentic Marathon:

* On 10/3/1896, at the 1st Panhellenic Athletics Games, the 1st Athens Road Marathon took place, which was also a qualification race for the Athens Olympic Games. The winner was Charilaos Vasilakos with a time of 3 hours and 18 minutes, while the later winner of the Olympic Games, Spyros Louis, finished fifth.
