PAOK announced Karafulidou

Alcestis Karafulidou became a PAOK volleyball player on Monday. The amateur “two-headed” announced the acquisition of the 25-year-old international diagonal until the end of this season, in order to strengthen the attack and claim the conquest of this year’s title.

Last season, Karafulidou played for Apollon Kalamatas, having previously worn the jersey of AO Thira and Austrian Tirol.

In detail, the announcement:

“PAOK and the women’s volleyball department announce the start of cooperation with the athlete, Alcisti Karafulidou, for the remainder of the 2024-2025 season.

Born on 13/09/1999, Alcistis Karafulidou competes as a diagonal and is 195cm tall. She took her first steps in volleyball from the Macedonians of Axio, where she remained until the 2017-18 season.

In the 2018-19 season, she competed in AO Thiras, getting important performances, after competing in the final of the Greek Cup, but also in the CEV Women’s Challenge Cup. He also played in the Santorini team the following season, 2019-20, however it was “marked” by the coronavirus pandemic.

In the 2020-21 season he competed in the Pine Champions, however that season was also ‘hit’ by the pandemic. The 2021-22 season found her outside of Greece for the first time, playing in VC Tirol from Austria.

The following season (2022-23) she returned to Greece on behalf of the Pine Champions, contributing with her performances to the team’s promotion from the Pre League to the Women’s Volleyball League. In the previous season (2023-24) he competed with the jersey of Apollon Kalamata.

She is an international player with the Greek women’s national team, having also played for the U18 and U19 teams.

On the start of cooperation with PAOK, Alcistis Karafulidou stated on the club’s official website, acpaok.gr: “I am excited to become a member of the PAOK family. I am looking forward to wearing the jersey and experiencing unique moments with the team. Let’s go together for big things.”
