What is a sensory room?
The Sensory Room was created to accommodate children from 5 to 12 years old with cognitive weaknesses, neurological diseases and related disorders, offering them a specially designed space to watch their favorite team in a calm and comfortable environment.
This is a specially designed match viewing room with tinted/one-way and soundproof window overlooking the pitch designed with a range of relaxing visuals, sounds and equipment.
The aim of the Sensory Room is for all its visitors to familiarize themselves with the sounds and atmosphere of OPAP ARENA so that at some point they feel ready to watch the match from the stands of the outside area of the stadium.
Availability
The Sensory Room will operate at all AEK home matches depending on availability. Since the maximum room capacity is 10 people, the Sensory Room will accommodate three (3) families at each match, with a maximum family size of three (3) members (2 adults – 1 child)
Meanwhile, AEK will not be able to accommodate families who have not purchased a ticket in advance due to limited space and seats.
The Sensory Room will open and be fully functional 120 minutes before the start of each match and during it. Arrival at the venue is at the discretion of each family in consultation with the Hall Manager.
In order to participate and reserve a place in the Sensory Room, an official diagnosis must be presented – a medical opinion from a consultant/doctor certifying the respective condition. This will ensure the correct allocation and allocation of the available seats.
Seat reservations will be made for one match at a time, in order to serve demand management, up to three (3) days before each match.
