Fournier: “Olympiacos fits my mentality very well – I came to experience games like this with Panathinaikos”

For his adaptation and the first months of his presence in Athens and the Olympicspoke o Evan Fournier to the French news agency.

The 32-year-old guard/forward revealed, among other things, that what he has experienced and seen so far being a member of the “red and whites”, they have exceeded most of his ambitionswhile at the same time he emphasized that he came to Europe and Piraeus for games like those against Panathinaikos.

“I’m here to experience an intense emotional adventure. I came here to experience basketball for real, and so far that’s exactly what I expected. The team fits my mindset very well. It’s simple, I don’t raise my head and constantly work. I adapt to the needs of the team, to the requests of the coach. I am still myself, simple, dominant and active. Everything works very well. We gradually get a better and better rhythm. It’s important to set goals and achieve them little by little.”

For the game against Panathinaikos and the 22 points he scored: “It was a great and beautiful moment. It was really cool. I have come for such games. There is great love of the world. My arrival has caused a stir in Greece. It’s true that people are extremely enthusiastic when they meet me on the street. In our matches, at the moment we are unbeaten at home, there is really something very intense on the pitch. It truly exceeded most of my expectations. I spent twelve years in the NBA, I no longer feel like going back there to experience something else there.”

On Fal’s influence on coming to Olympiakos: “His presence made my transition much easier. It was such a mess in the early days.”
