Four for Kifissia in the Men’s Volleyball League. The team from the northern suburbs defeated Athlos Orestiada 3-1 in Zirinio for the fifth matchday and “caught” Pegasos Polichnis in fourth place, reaching the three consecutive victories in the championship, scoring their first at home and leaving Akrites in the penultimate position together with PAOK.
Kifissia had Gerogi Petrov as the protagonist, who was named MVP of the match, while Komitoudis was among the top players, who correctly and quickly shared the good reception of his teammates.
Athlos had the great misfortune that Ogur Chokur was injured at 18-15 in the fourth set.
In the first two sets, Athlos had low percentages on offense and generally their serve did not perform as expected, with the exception of the third set. The fourth set was decisive, where Kifissia, with Kayali’s attack and Kotsnev’s mistake, made it 26-24 and “sealed” the victory.
