OFNI won the derby with PAOK and “pressed” the top

OFNI survived the “thriller” with PAOK. The champion defeated the cup holder 22-21 in Nea Ionia in the top derby of the eighth round of A1 women’s handball and escaped with +2 at the top of the standings, since the two great rivals of the sport in Greece were together at the top before the matchup and with the northern suburbs team temporarily gaining an advantage for the regular season lead.

PAOK was superior at the start of the match, but OFNI turned it around in the second half and led by +4 (21-17) in the 55th minute with a 4-0 run, but failed to keep the gap ahead of the second round in Thessaloniki .
