Kendrick Ray was born in the Bronx, New York, on January 26, 1994 and is 1.88m tall.
He started playing basketball at Middletown High School in New York and graduated from Kennesaw State College. His senior year he averaged 21.2 ppg and was a top-five player in the ASUN Region (the first Kennesaw State player to do so).
On 24 July 2017 he signed his first professional contract in the Czech Republic with Nymburk. He won the double and was named MVP of the Championship.
In June 2018, he signed a two-year cooperation contract with Maccabi Tel Aviv (after first “chasing” the NBA dream in Utah) and in December 2018, he set a Euroleague career high with 17 points and 5/5 three-pointers in 13 minutes against Khimki .
on 26 February 2019 he was loaned to Le Mans in France until the end of the season. In 13 games Ray averaged 9.2 points and at the end of the season he tried his luck in the NBA and the Boston Celtics. During the 2023-2024 season, he joined Buyukcekmece in Turkey and averaged 10.7 points, 2.3 assists and 2.3 rebounds. Before joining PANIONIO HYMOI VIVA he played in Mexico and Fuerza Regia Monterrey where he averaged 9.6 points- 2.6 assists and 2.3 rebounds in 36 games.
