The Hellenic Judo Federation has entered the final stages of its preparations to host a perfect event, the European Judo Cup “Athens Junior European Cup 2022” in Peristeri for its guests, always faithfully observing all the necessary measures for the pandemic.
About 250 athletes from 24 European countries have already registered for the event.
In fact, the interest for the event is so great that there will be participations outside our continent. An athlete from Puerto Rico has already been added, while interest has been expressed from countries such as the USA and Cuba, among others.
The number of athletes, but also the countries that will participate, is expected to increase even more in the coming days, with Greece at the center of European judo in the last weekend of March and the Hellenic Federation ready to carry out the important this event.
The European Junior Cup will be a point of reference worldwide for the sport of judo, which has been “embraced” by the Greek public and has given emotions and great success historically in our country.
Regarding the Greek presence, 70 athletes have already been declared in the most populous team of the event.
Israel (29), Azerbaijan (21), Kazakhstan, Cyprus (18) and Romania (16) will also have a significant number of entries so far.
