In the remaining minutes of the first half, Aris managed to gather the difference, mainly with the inspirations of Cooper, sending the two teams to locker room with a score of 45-41.
As in the first half, so also in the replay, Costa Mexa’s team entered the third period very strongly and thanks to a 6-0 run, they again increased the difference to double digits (51-41) in the 22nd minute. The reaction of the “yellows” came after the middle of the quarter, who thanks to their improved defense, as well as Cooper’s big baskets, not only collected the difference, but also equalized at 60-60 in the 29th minute. However, a three-pointer by Koniaris and a two-pointer by the excellent Vaughn in the last attacks, allowed Lavrio to close the quarter at +5 and 65-60.
Naturally, in the fourth and final period bodies fell in Lavreotiki. With two back to back 3-pointers by Noley, Aris reduced to 67-66 at 32′, with Murato and Vaughn answering for the hosts and 74-68 two minutes later.
