Continuing, he criticized PASOK: “We have before us the fight for the great and necessary reconstruction. To make SYRIZA-PS strong, powerful, massive again. The strong bulwark in the anti-popular and anti-social plans of the Mitsotakis government. Because we are not one of the parties that bankrupted the country. We are not one of the parties of the allied, convenient opposition. Who agree with the central choices of the Mitsotakis government and disagree on minor points and details. We are not the opposition of PR, consent and “tea and sympathy”. But the opposition that clashed, is clashing and will clash with every anti-popular policy, and with every socially destructive measure”.

Next, he referred to the effort to regroup the party: “Excursions of the president, members of parliament and party officials are already being planned throughout Greece, which will take place in the next two months. We have to proceed at a rapid pace with the overall organizational reconstruction of the party, from the OM and the NE, to the Departments of the K.E.”

He announced the Congress of the party: “The turning of the page, the reconstruction that has already begun, will culminate in a few months, in the spring, with a Regular, Statutory Congress to restart and the election of new bodies. To renew our program, our government proposal, the persons, and to give even greater impetus to the struggle for the restructuring of society and the country”.

He closed with a call to join and return to SYRIZA: “And in this difficult, but just and correct struggle, we call today to enlist every left-wing, progressive, democratic citizen.
