Koulierakis’ Wolfsburg punished Mainz with an epic match-rodeo upset!

Wolfsburg hit five after a… rodeo! The “wolves” prevailed 4-3 with a reversal Mainz and they caught her Borussia Dortmund in 5th place in the standings, just -3 from the top four. Instead, the losers paid for their inability to “clean up” the match and stayed in 9th place.

The visitors took the lead three times, but none of them managed to “seal” the victory. THE Paul Nebel gave Mainz the lead in the 11th minute, but in the 19th minute Mohamed Amoura responded and wrote 1-1 for Wolfsburg. Shortly before the break, o Jonathan Burkard put Mainz back in front with a score of 1-2.

The “wolves” did not give up and again brought the match to a level (2-2) with Thiago Thomas in the 57th minute. The response of the guests was immediate, since Mainz took the lead for the third time with the Nebel to find the net again in the 66th minute for 2-3. However, with two goals from Jonas Widt in the 93rd and 94th minutes, Wolfsburg punished a naive Mainz and took the victory 4-3.

It is worth noting that the Konstantinos Koulierakis he once again started for the winners and stayed on the pitch throughout the match.
