The first place of this year’s semi-finals Greek Cup Betsson looks like… it already found an owner!
Putting in a terrific display, especially in the first half, the ferocious OFI prevailed with the imposing 5-0 of Panachaki in “Jedi Koule” in the first games between them for the quarter-finals of the institution, effectively turning the rematch of the two teams in Patras on January 9!
With the foot pressed on the “gas” and with the aim of “cleaning up” the case of victory early on, the Cretans succeeded and their four goals in the first 45 minutes with Fouda (8′), Nous (10′), Gondaleth (33′) and Stojanovic’s own goal in the 39th minute, before Theodosoulakis scored the final score in the 83rd minute, celebrating at the same time the their first win in almost 1.5 months and seven unsuccessful attempts (0-3-4) in all competitions.
Now, the Milan Rastavac team is called upon to do the obvious in the Patras rematch in order to “lock” the ticket for the semi-finals of the competition, where they will face the winner of the pair Asteras AKTOR-Panionios.

THE Milan Rastavac he chose mostly key players with Christogeorgos in goal, Gondaleth, Lambropoulos, Silva and Abada forming the back four. Nair and Karahalios started in the midfield positions, with Sengelia and Nous in the two “wings” and Fouda in the role of ten, behind the only promoted, Jung.
On the other hand, Mr Soulis Papadopoulos lined up Panachaki with a 3-4-2-1 system. Stojanovic found himself in the goal, with Garcia, Kostoula and Smali in the defense trio. From the very beginning of the match, the Cretans fully imposed their own rhythm, having control and possession of the ball. After an informative first period, Milan Rastavac’s team were fortunate to open the scoring in their very first final match. Specifically, in the 8th minutethe home side developed nicely down the left, Nuss turned into the area, where Jung controlled the ball for the Tassel and with a shot turned to write the 1-0!
Before the dust settles on that quick goal, o OFI doubled their goals three minutes latertaking an early lead in the match. At 10′ and after an excellent diagonal ball from Neira to Mindthe Argentinian midfielder “emptied” with an impressive dribble Karagiannidis and with a powerful side shot he made it 2-0! With morale high, the hosts continued to they suffocate the Patrinians, who for their part were finding it incredibly difficult, not just to get out of their own half, but even to exchange 3-4 passes between them.
In the 13th minute came the only final of Patrina with the distant of Madgiralwhile in the 14′ and 15′, Gondaleth threatened with a diagonal shot and a header respectively, to follow Nous’ misplaced scissors three minutes later. In the 27th minute, OFI made it 3-0 with Karahalios’ powerful shot that Stojanovic impressively deflected into the corner. The pressure of the Cretans paid off in the 33rd minute when after a magical action by Gondaleth, who stepped into the area from the right and from a very lateral position dug the ball and sent it into the opposite corner of Stojanovic!
Six minutes later, Rastavac’s total went up the score marker at 4-0 after another excellent effort by Gondaleth, whose cross first found Kostoulas and then Stoyanovichwith the Serbian goalkeeper of the guests sending the ball into the net of his team. In the remaining time of the first 45 minutes there was nothing remarkable, with OFI completing the first part with 14 finals!
Different scene in the second half, where a little bit the extent of the score, a little bit the collected changes of Panachaki at the beginning of the replay, brought the game into balance. It is characteristic that the team of Soulis Papadopoulos gained meters on the pitch and kept the ball at their feet. Nevertheless, the first final in the second half came after almost 20 minutes of play, when, in the 63rd minute, Nus’s powerful diagonal shot was kicked out by Stojanovic. Earlier, in the 59th minute, the same player had won a penalty from Masoura’s marking, which however turned into a foul on the edge of the area after a VAR check.
In the 66th minute, Riera left the field on a stretcher with a hamstring problem, while, a minute later, Mind with a terrible free kick, he marked the right window of Panachaiki, with the Serbian goalkeeper of the guests conceding the corner. As time ticked by, OFI turned up the pace, looking for one more goal in front of their fervent crowd. After threatening with Abada and Nous in 74′ and 76′ respectively, he found fifth goal in the 83rd minute, when Nuss with a nice cross from the left, found him Theodosoulakis who had gone through earlier in the match, with the young forward scoring from close range with a powerful header! The match ended with finals 23-2 in favor of the Cretans.
The referee: Without particularly difficult phases, the match for Papapetrou, VAR was needed once, with Mr. Tsakalides to change the decision of the penalty on Nous to a foul.
MVP: The leader of the winners was none other than Thiago Nuss, with the 23-year-old Argentinian midfielder of OFI having a goal and an assist, and in general being a constant source of danger for Panachaiki’s defense.
