Terrible Panathinaikos continued his impressive run in Men’s Volleyball League! The “greens” won 3-0 in sets PAOK for the 10th matchday and remained at the top of the league with 24 points and seven consecutive victories, one matchday before the “eternal” derby with Olympic.
The “greens” entered better and beat PAOK in the reception, taking a difference of 6 points (14-8). The hosts continued to be in control in defense and attack, increased their lead to +8 (20-12) and finally managed to conquer comfortably the first set with 25-16.
In the second set, PAOK came in better and took a 4-8 lead, but was unable to maintain control of the match and found himself behind 16-15. His team Josko Milenkoski could not return and o Panathinaikos reached 2-0 set 25-21.
In the third and final set, the game became more competitive than ever, with PAOK to have a steady lead but without managing to escape. Somehow, Mr Panathinaikos led 21-19 and 24-21, with the “double-header of the north” tying it at 24-24, but the hosts were cool in the crucial stages and made it 3-0 in the sets with a score of 26-24.
