From the summer of 2023 and until recently he was in Slovakia and wearing the Tatran Presov jersey. With the Slovak team, he won the 2024 double, while reaching the quarter -finals of the EHF European Cup.

Speaking to aek.gr, Adama Sako said: “I am very happy to join this club and come to this historic city, Athens. It is very important to me and the fact that I can see my family easier! I already know some of the players in the team, who told me very good words about AEK and its family climate. They even sent me some information about the club. So they helped me a lot in my decision to come here. Of course I know both our opponents and the history of our club. I have already watched some videos with our fans and I really like this unique atmosphere they create in the races. AEK for me is a challenge. Last year I reached the quarter -finals of the EHF European Cup. This time I want to get even further! I had a very excellent communication with the coach, who is also a Frenchman. And that helped me to “connect” with him more easily with the team. There are many of my compatriots in AEK, and with some I have played, together like Davies. I wanted to come to a professional and full -time club. I hope we can conquer all the powerful titles

Adama, welcome to AEK’s family!
