A symbolic initiative for the Celebration of 50 years of history in the institution of the Cup announced Eh. As it became known, there is already a time capsule, which will gather memories from the half century of life of the event. It will add their own pieces to the eight teams that will take part in the Final 8 of the Cup in Heraklion (February 12-16) and after the end of the event, the time capsule will be sealed and opened in the future as a legacy to future generations.

The Greek Cup is 50 years old this year! Half a century of history will find its own special place and stay there, sealed to be “discovered” by future generations. She will find her place in a time capsule that will hide a 50 -year -old treasure so that those who love basketball with the same passion in the future will find.
Brochures, race leaves, jerseys, souvenirs, photos, medals and many more, objects that hide – most importantly – memories and emotions of all these years will find their place in time capsule. The teams that will claim this year’s trophy will have their own part in history. In Heraklion, on Wednesday, February 12th, the coaches and leaders of the eight teams will lay their own small piece of history in the time capsule, which will be sealed at the end of the Final 8 Cup Final.
Faces, groups, images, athletes who wrote history, record, passion, joy and frustration, hope will all be locked there in each of the small pieces of the past, they will be there to make important pieces of the future of people and the sport that We all love and serve!
