Since the day of our election, on 22/7/2024, our administration had as its primary goal to find a space for the construction of a training center, which would be the home of the National Teams, a chronic problem that despite the efforts of the previous administrations was not resolved.

The truth is that the spaces for the construction of a training center in Attica are limited as it requires more than 50 acres, which you should be able to build building facilities. Indeed, after an effort by the Administration and from private proposals, we have found some areas where the necessary control, legal and technician, where in other cases found problems regarding the ownership status, others in terms of construction of building installations and the construction of the stadiums and other sections.

At the same time, we turned to Elliniko. Regarding the Hellenic, as you may all know, there were two problems that were concerned, the first that there would be no market but a concession for a long time in the coaching center, and the second that a building could not be erected in order to function as a hotel area of ​​the National Teams, but would have to rent it. In addition, it is in the city’s urban fabric, when the majority of the training centers of national teams and clubs are being built outside the urban fabric, and was doubtful, even if we ended up in the market, when the team could get in the moment when the Greek, as you know, is in its whole workshop.

The Paiania training center, which everyone knows, even those who are not involved in football, was what had been interested in obvious reasons from the beginning: it is a training center that works, and therefore immediately, with some small improvements, will be used by the national teams. We all know that it is a historic training center and when it was constructed it was a jewelry for all of Europe. A training center built by Mr. Vardinoyannis taking into account every parameter, even the climatic conditions of the area, the removal from the urban fabric and even the evolution of the Paiania area at the time. A training center that has been nourished and competed by great players who have been the backbone of the 2004 team and Panathinaikos’ success in Europe for three decades. Its aura is in every square meter of the extent stretching. Two estimates were made by certified appraisers by the Ministry of Finance, and according to them, the Paiania training center “GEORGIOS VARDINOGIANNIS”, is built on an area of ​​60,733 sqm, and includes three illuminated football stadiums with a natural turf (105m). (105.00m x 68.00m, as well as a 5X5 stadium). Each of these stadiums has a lighting installation with four pillars per stadium, with all irrigation and drainage infrastructure. There is also a gym, a medical room for physiotherapy, changing rooms for national teams. Also included are: athlete hostel with 27 double rooms, restaurant, bars, television room, indoor pool, sauna, entertainment room, toy rooms, storage rooms and a meeting room. In the basement there are an indoor pool and a sauna. In addition, there is a small museum of office building, as well as auxiliary buildings, pumping station, DEDDIE substation, installed generators with power generators (PC), closed -circuit camera (CCTV) and entrance guard. The open space of the facilities is landscaped with an indoor paved road network.

We are talking about a perfect training center, which after some minor improvements, can be made from September 100% use of football stadiums and we hope for hostels, restaurants and more. From all national groups (men, Hope, Youth, Pronea K18, Kids, K16 Propades, K15, Women’s, Women, K19, K17 K17, K16, K16, K15, Men’s Salas, Men’s Salas Offices in order to make the future relocation of the EPO offices, with the possibility of expanding the existing office spaces to meet all the needs of the administrative services of the Federation, as well as for the organization of arbitration seminars and coaches.

The purchase price of this property amounts to € 21,500,000 and in addition to the above price will be paid all taxes, fees, notaries and other expenses.
