Akis Economou’s message states:

“Christian, my friend and swimmer, what a swimming and life journey of life were these years !!

After 15 years of cooperation and joint march with you, I want to take some time publicly to tell you how happy and grateful I am for this coexistence in the pools !!!

You were just 17 years old when you entered the pool to train with me, full of dreams, confidence and swimming boldness. “I’m Sprinter I and I want to be the best,” you told me and you put the first term! Full Speed!

From the first moment I realized that you were separate with a swimming unique intelligence, and you showed it every day.

Your talent endless, your morality is unparalleled and your passion to fight and achieve what they seemed to be impossible then were uninvited.

Together we achieved incredible victories, we fought difficult battles, we lived through difficult times to carry with us forever.

How many grumbles of me became funny for me, training and we always ended up with the same result … to put the bar higher!

For me my friend you didn’t just achieve great things – you have taken over the respect and acceptance of all with your militancy.

Every time in the last 15 years from the first moment in a big race everyone knew that in the big events one name in the 50m free free name had a sure name: Golomev Christian -Greece!

But besides being a great athlete, you are a wonderful person and definitely a swimming model for many children of future generations in swimming. You have shown us that with talent, hard and systematic work all dreams are feasible and nothing is impossible!

It was a great honor and luck to be part of your effort, and I know and I’m sure this ending in your swimming career will be a new beginning for new things in your life that will make you happy!

Me and my family (you are a member of it) we will always be with you because as I told you once a family always a family!.

Thank you for everything, Kristian! The best is yet to come! ”
