The registration period to compete for the Brazilian Ocyan Big Waves Award runs until next Monday, 28th. In its fourth edition, the award brings together the biggest waves surfed on the Brazilian coast and gives the winners 50 thousand reais in total prizes.

Lucas Chumbo and veteran Carlos Burle are among the entries, which in total have more than 300 competitors. The contest involves four modalities: surfing, tow-in, bodyboarding, kitesurfing and bodysurfing. In addition to the styles, the most sinister cow will also be awarded.

To participate in the big wave prize, simply register through the website https://extremeclub.com/. In addition to athletes, photographers and videographers also compete for awards.

The winners will be announced on the 8th, at an event with the presence of actresses and surfers Dani Suzuki and Isabella Santoni and presenters Flávio Canto and Ricardo Bocão.

Nir Lander, vice president of people and management at Ocyan, the main sponsor of the event, spoke about the importance of being a partner in the Big Waves award: “At Ocyan, we usually say that the sea is our land. There is nothing fairer than supporting a project that focuses on the sea, especially when it encourages sport and care for the marine ecosystem,” says Lander.
