Olympic champion of Greece in the men’s table tennis for the fourth consecutive year

On the second day of the playoffs of the A1 ping pong of men, Olympiacos finished his games with two more wins and maintained the “scepter” for the 2024-2025 season with the absolute success of 17 matches.

On the afternoon of Tuesday, it was imposed 4-0 of Pera Athens and then secured the first. In the evening he gave another solid against his basic and this year’s opponent, Panathinaikos, and won the 4-3 set.

In addition, Olympiacos men and women emerge for the fourth consecutive year. The Athenian union takes the silver medal to men.

AEK wins third in this year’s A1, as in its last match in the playoffs it achieved the decisive dominance against Pera Athens with a 4-2 set.

The program closes on Thursday with the Panathinaikos – beyond Athens at 18:00 and will be followed by the prizes.

A MINUTE SILVER IN MEMORY OF OLGA GEORGOPOULOU

The playoffs had a special moment today and it was none other than honoring Olga Georgopoulou. The first championship matches after the unjust loss of the distinguished athlete and coach of Pera had an emotional charge mainly for athletes and other executives of the club. The Federation decided to keep a minute’s silence in today’s memory that the “citizens” gave their first struggles and there was time with all the teams present.

At the moving moment, the parents of Georgopoulou, Michalis and Anastasia, stood between the athletes of Pera and AEK, her father, in fact, wore the form of his daughter … Later they watched the entire team of the team, while the leader of Pera, Vicky, was there.

In the playoffs, Olympiacos was lined up with Tomislav Poukar (Croatia), Yiannis Sgouropoulos, George Stamatouro, Tassos Riniotis, in the regular season of the championship, he also relied on Swedish Trulls Meregord and Ukrakano Giairoulako

George Stamatouros paid 3-0 set by George Constantinopoulos and with a 3-2 set Konstantinos Angelakis, also pleased the win at the end with Sgouropoulos (3-1 over the brothers of Constantinopoulos).

For Panathinaikos, Mr. Constantinopoulos beat Sgouropoulos 3-2 and Rhiniotis 3-0, while Angelakis overcame Rhiniotis with a 3-2 set.
