The Greek midfielder after 13 years on the stadiumshe decided to throw the curtain of his career and retire from active action as he announced via Instagram.
In his farewell message, Tsilianidis makes a look back on his career, thanking all the teams, coaches and teammates with whom he co -existed, while saying he is proud to have succeeded.
His message:
“Finally …
One year I am struggling within me to find words to express this decision. Each day I used to say ‘tomorrow’
From a kid I had a dream of becoming a footballer. I did. But the joy and the reward never really came. Every time I achieved a goal, the next one came. This is how the championship works, it does not allow you to deviate. I never enjoyed the moment.
Until a moment, in the best season of my career, it deprived me of everything.
Difficult years followed. Injuries, three surgeries on the same knee, 15 months outside. Then one injury brought the other.
I started hating football. In the end, I hated myself
I worked with my inside. I accepted the situation. I decided to move on. To get back to light, you must first dive into the dark, fight
Endless days without substance, no motivation.
Exercising with coaching gave me meaning again. I owe a lot to football and I am determined to return them, now from another role.
Thanks first of all my family and wife. The people who were always happy with my joys but mainly supportive of difficulties. To date, they are patient and believe in me
Thanks to all the teams I competed but mainly Hercules.
I was in Heracles. Still, in Kallikratia, I became a protagonist from Ball Boy. We had a hard time, but we did. But situations and people have led me to the next step.
Asteras Tripolis gave me the opportunity to take a step in my career. We managed to get out to Europe when no one believed it. I lived three beautiful years, I met remarkable people and left full
At OFI I found what I was looking for in my whole career: a house. We did something great very quickly. Unfortunately the misfortunes did not allow me to be happy. But four years since I served the team, I felt true love from the world and the club. I tied to Heraklion and Crete. I made brotherly friends.
Thanks to my teammates, my coaches, the administrations, all the team staff and every fan who stood by my side
Sorry to those who may have grown on the road
I am proud of what I did … “
