Nassos Bazinas talked about how he was first called in the Men’s National Men’s Web Radio. The 22 -year -old guard referred to how Prometheus and Elias Papatheodorou helped him in his development.
In detail he spoke:
For his call to the Men’s National: “Nikos Zisis called me one morning and I didn’t expect it, I was steep. It was one of the happiest days of my life. I was very pleased. It is my honor for Nikos Zisis to call me and tell me that I have been chosen to be on Vasilis Spanoulis’ calls for the Men’s National. It’s the biggest price that each player can have. ”
How he feels that he will be next to top Greek basketball names: “With the players playing in Greece we have played opponents. I know Kostas Sloukas a bit well, I have a good relationship with him, he talks to me. I have him as a model. I have not yet realized that I will be a teammate with Yannis Antetokounbos for as long as I am there. I’m not thinking about it, I just want to live it when the time comes. The fact that I will coach Vassilis Spanoulis is something unique. For other children it is a dream that can never come true and I will live it. ”
For being … gunpowder from his involvement with the smaller national teams: “The Men’s National is special, it has nothing to do with the other national teams. In the other national above, we know which players will be, at my age. Thank God I was healthy and I was sure I was going to be there. Now it was something I didn’t expect. Men’s National is the biggest thing for an athlete’s career. ”
For Prometheus’ “Mind” program, from which he has come out: “Prometheus is, I think, the only team to do this in Greece and, in fact, for years. It is very important for young children in the group. We are lucky to be members of the program and gives us the opportunity for Prometheus to have these facilities, this daily life, anything. I am very happy to have come out of this program. As the team is happy for me, I as a child in the team I am twice as happy. ”
About what a child learns through this program: “Everything. Initially, you learn the principles and values that you have to get from a very young age to become anything in your life. In addition to basketball, the team helps you in anything you want to deal with. It offers you the private school, it supports you in anything you make a decision, whether to play basketball or to follow something. But first of all, with principles and values. And I’m still learning. Until I finish my career and for the rest of my life I will have this with me everyday. It’s the top thing the principles and values for a man. ”
For what he can improve in his game: “To what I can improve in my game, especially at 21-22, the answer is ‘everything’. I’m not somewhere too good or too bad, I can still improve too much. I have huge room for improvement. If I have something to stand out in me, it’s my discipline, my hard work, being a 1000% committed to basketball and I give everything for my team. Something would see Coach Spanoulis and his assistants and they would call me. ”
For his collaboration with coach Elias Papatheodorou: “Coach Papatheodorou is the man who changed me how I see basketball and how I see my life after basketball. It changed my life from a discussion we had in the first year, before the year even started. I am grateful to him for what he has done for me and I will be grateful for the rest of my life. “
