“Athens Kallithea FC announces the acquisition of the Portuguese striker Marco Paixao with free transcript after completing its collaboration with the Turkish Band; Rmaspor.
Paixao, 40, became a top scorer in Turkey’s second division in four of the last seven seasons, with 126 goals and 21 assists in 201 championship matches at the same time, including 19 goals with five assists last season. In June 2018, Paixao went to Turkey on behalf of Altay and began finding nets with impressive consistency, highlighting Turkey’s second scorer for three consecutive seasons, with 29 goals in 2018/19, 22 goals in 2019/20 and 22 goals in 2020/21. After a season in the top category, Altay returned to the second, where Paixao was again the top scorer in the 2022/23 season (21 goals).
Paixao finally left Altay in the winter of next season to continue to Sanl? Urfaspor, completing the 2023/24 season with a total of 15 goals in both teams.
