As part of the 2022 Global Developers Conference, Apple announced the launch of a new software service and two new laptops.
The week-long event kicked off yesterday with a virtual conference hosted by Apple executives, detailing the latest versions of iOS, macOS, and iPadOS.
Additionally, updates to Apple’s most popular laptops, the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro, have been announced.
The 13.6-inch Air received the M2 chip, a new processor created by Apple. This claims that Apple is 1.4 times better than the M1. The chip features an 8-core CPU and a 10-core GPU, and at the conference Apple explained that it will deliver 38% faster “video editing performance” and 20% faster “image effects and filter performance.” % faster.
For the first time since Steve Jobs pulled the first MacBook Air out of a Manila envelope, the company ditched the famous wedge. However, the Air remains a sophisticated car, measuring just 11mm thick and weighing 1.3kg.
According to Apple, the battery lasts 20 hours and you can charge your laptop by returning the Apple MagSafe connector.
MacBook Air is available in four colors: Silver, Cosmic Grey, Midnight and Starlight.
According to Apple, the Air will arrive from £1,249 next month.
Meanwhile, the 13-inch MacBook Pro mentioned by Apple is “the second best-selling laptop in the world” after the Air also got the M2 chip.
The rest remains the same, Apple says that the new Pro will start at 491349.
