Strong ‘off season’ winds will hit the UK this weekend, with weather forecasts calling for speeds of 45mph.
Storm Alex, the remnants of the American tropical storm, will soon sweep across the country.
The Meteorological Agency said Thursday that there will be particularly strong winds in parts of the UK.
Tomorrow it will rain in most of the country.
In the United States, Storm Alex is already causing a major delay in states like Florida.
Heavy rain over the weekend was reported in several areas, including Miami, bringing more than 5 inches of rain.
In the UK from Thursday, light showers will move west to east as exotic storms turn Alex into a cyclone.
Ollie Claydon of the UK Met Office said:
.. Wednesday morning showers clear eastern England but continue in central Scotland and north east England.
.. Heavy rain is expected in many areas, and hail and thunderstorms may occur in some areas.

“Including Friday, the speed could be 45 km/h.
“Such wind speeds are quite limited to the North West of England.
“But until Saturday, in the cold temperatures of the north of England, those winds can be seen in the north of England.
“Winds will blow everywhere in Britain, but the south, less affected by cyclones.”
On Friday, the winds will be stronger in the UK and some rain will fall in the western part of the UK, especially in the north-western part of the UK, which includes Northern Ireland, the west of Scotland and the north of England.
Claydon added that previous hurricanes would lose their strength significantly over the weekend, adding that “they don’t have the usual tropical characteristics in terms of strength.”
Storm Alex Remnant is followed by unpredictable weather in Britain.
Following the Queen’s Anniversary weekend, temperatures of 22°C continued today in parts of the country.
The rain managed to unleash the celebrations on Thursday and Friday in London and it was enjoyed under the clear sky.
And while the Royal Competition at Buckingham Palace over the weekend avoided rain, bad weather canceled the long-awaited red darts show.
Unsettled weather continued overnight with rival offices issuing a yellow warning against rain in the east of England until 4pm
