Microsoft will bring several Xbox games to Samsung’s new smart TVs starting June 30, in a strategy to expand the market beyond owners of video game consoles.
Subscribers to the Xbox cloud gaming service will be able to play more than 100 titles on TVs by pairing bluetooth controllers, Microsoft said on Thursday.
Titles such as “Halo Infinite” and “Forza Horizon 5” will be available on the new lineup of TVs and will not require a console to play.
Microsoft’s Xbox division began working with major TV manufacturers in 2021 in an effort to take their games beyond consoles and boost the Game Pass on-demand service.
