There are rumors that Adobe is planning to release a free web version of the cult software in the near future.
In fact, web-based Photoshop is already available, but it’s only available to those who pay to subscribe to Adobe’s Creative Cloud.
According to a report by tech site The Verge, Adobe has opened up free web access to Canadian account holders. This is definitely part of the testing process and can make the software available worldwide.
“I want to do it [Photoshop] “It’s easier and more accessible for more people to try and experience the product,” Maria Japp, vice president of digital imaging at Adobe, told The Verge.
The company follows the freemium approach. This means that free users can only use basic Photoshop features. If you need all the experience, you need to save money.
Still, having (partial) access to one of the world’s most popular photo-editing tools is an absolute plus if you want your images to be a little more creative.
