British astronomy fans got a glimpse of the bright Supermoon on Wednesday night.

July’s full moon is known as the deer moon because deer come down and stretch their antlers during this time.

According to Anna Ross, an astronomer at the planetarium at the Royal Greenwich Museum in southeast London, the name comes from the Native American system of tracking the seasons using the full moons of different months as the calendar.

But more than a typical full moon, this month’s event is also characterized as a supermoon.

Ms Ross said the supermoon is the result of a full moon occurring when it is in closest orbit to Earth.

This can happen because the moon is orbiting the earth in an elliptical shape instead of a circle.

Ms Ross added that the subsequent moon will be the biggest and brightest supermoon of the year as it will be the closest moon to Earth in 2022.

He states: “Supermoon means the moon is a little closer to us, so it looks a little bigger in the sky.

“The noticeable difference in size of the full moon between the closest and furthest point is only 14%, and even though you’re on the moon, its brightness remains the same, a bit closer, since it’s around. It looks like it’s about 30% brighter to us here on Earth.”

The average distance of the Moon from the Earth is 384,400 km, but the Moon will reach the closest point of the Moon, at 09:08 on July 13, at a distance of 357,264 km.

“The exact moment of full moon closest to this point is also on July 13, but at 19:37.

“This supermoon can be called a supermoon.”

He said there are no official restrictions on how close the full moon has to be to Earth to be considered a supermoon.

Dr. Robert Massey, Deputy Executive Director of the Royal Astronomical Society, said there were many “these” supermoons, adding: .. “

Countless photographers have taken amazing pictures of the Back Super Moon in the sky.
