Matt Hancock was the first MP to join the metaverse and the response has already been strong.
Avatar images of the former health minister have been shared on Twitter, with users comparing him to Judge Linder and Justin Timberlake.
“It’s a very generous hairline,” said one.
According to Bloomberg reporter Alex Wickham, who posted the image, Hancock “will be the first member of Congress to wear a personalized avatar.”
“He believes the Metaverse should be open and free.”

The Metaverse could be the next iteration of the Internet. It becomes a 3D space where people can work, socialize and play together through their avatars.
In Hancock’s case, he could walk through virtual cyberspace wearing a white shirt with a red collar, slicked-back hair, and a short waist.
However, not everyone is convinced that this is true.
It may seem like a joke, but it is not. Hancock had not signed it. It wasn’t a picture of him, it was a random person, and he was just talking about the benefits of the metaverse, not the metaverse.

Regardless, Mr. Hancock’s potential avatar looks much better than Mark Zuckerberg’s recent metaverse “selfie.”
The Facebook boss, who was celebrating the launch of Horizon Worlds (the Metaverse app) in France and Spain, was widely derided for his “basic” avatar image.
“Major graphical updates to Horizon and Avatar coming soon. More to share on Connect,” the billionaire wrote in an Instagram caption, along with more realistic avatars in the coming days.
“Also, the photo I posted earlier this week was very simple, taken very quickly to celebrate the launch. Much more can be done and Horizon is improving very quickly.
