Open lectures by the researchers of the Technology and Research Foundation

by

The 2nd Round of Open Talks from the Technology and Research Foundation (ITE), starts next Wednesday, September 7 at 7:00 p.m., in collaboration with the H2B HUB of the Chamber of Heraklion (EBEI), in its premises, in the center of Heraklion (Koroneou 14).

This new cycle is opened by Dr. Dimitris Grammenos, researcher of the Institute of Informatics, with the interactive laboratory:

“Creativity and Innovation: the three sides of the Coin”!

Creativity is a key prerequisite for producing innovation. According to international studies, it is today the most important leadership skill in business, as well as the “tool” that opens the door to new business opportunities, allowing an organization to differentiate itself in its field and gain a competitive advantage. At the same time, creative thinking, from which creativity springs, is now considered a fundamental skill, essential for employability in the modern labor market.

This workshop offers an experiential and playful introduction to creative thinking and creativity and the ways in which it can be harnessed in practice to spark original ideas that lead to innovation. The main goal is to inspire the participants and help them incorporate relevant practical ideas and approaches into their professional and personal daily lives.

ITE, as pointed out in an announcement, aims to approach the public and get to know researchers and their profession, their daily work and their contribution to the progress and well-being of society. The talks will focus on contemporary issues and problems and will be interactive, with an opportunity for questions and audience interaction.

Eight more meetings with the people of Heraklion will follow, on the first Wednesday of every month, in the same place, until May 2023.
