The 3 simple lessons of Steve Jobs to succeed in everything in life

by

“I’m going to make the audience do it on them,” he had said as he prepared the first iChat presentation.

THE Steve Jobs is considered one of the best businessmen of all time, but he was also – according to the common confession of those who worked for him – a demanding and difficult boss.

THE Justin Santamariaa computer engineer who worked for Apple from 2003 to 2013, leading the teams that built the FaceTimethe iMessage and CarPlaysays that working with Jobs was an opportunity he will never forget. “He was a visionary who taught me a lot about not only how to make products that people will love, but also how to be successful in everything in life.” writes on CNBC.

According to Santamaria, these are the three simple but important lessons he learned from Steve Jobs:

1. Mastery requires repetition.

Doing something right takes patience and hard work. But you also need to know when to stop making changes: You’ll know when you’ve reached the best possible product when you’re excited to share it with others.

As Santamaria recalls, during his first week at Apple, Jobs was preparing the first presentation of iChat. “I’ll make the audience do it on him,” he had said. As the developer explains, Apple’s co-founder knew he had built something great.

2. Use your failures as stepping stones to success.

By the time Apple was ready to introduce the iPhone to the world, it had already laid the groundwork, meaning it could then take new and different risks.

With every product, Jobs expected that things could go wrong. But he understood that often, making them a sea was the reward. Perfection may not exist, but greatness can be achieved with a few software updates.

3. Remove the rock that prevents you from moving beyond your comfort zone.

The first iPhone changed the world forever in 2007, with its touchscreen and digital keyboard.

Jobs’ decision to remove the mechanical keyboard was a brilliant industrial design decision, as it allowed the iPhone to have more screen space.
