Meta’s artificial intelligence image generator was accused of “racism”after users discovered that he could not compose the image of a couple with Asian man and white woman.
The AI toolcreated by parent company of Facebookis able to take almost any written prompt and turn it into a shockingly realistic image in seconds.
However, users found that the AI was unable to generate images showing mixed-race couples, despite its CEO Meta, Mark Zuckerbergis himself married to an Asian woman.
On social media, commenters criticized it as an example of AI’s racial bias, with one describing the AI as “racist software built by racist engineers”.
