He made history in 2021, after he became the first billionaire who traveled into space.
And now the Sir Richard Branson is about to touch the edge of space once more.
The Virgin co-founder has been confirmed to be on the world’s first commercial stratospheric hot air balloon flight.

This full-scale flight test successfully tested a multitude of key systems needed to safely launch the capsule to 100,000 ft (30,480 m) and bring it back in a controlled descent to ocean splashdown.

Specifically, Branson will be inside a capsule, which will be towed by a balloon and attempt to cover 32 kilometers in the stratosphere.

Branson will be one of three pilots on his maiden voyage Space Perspective in 2025along with the company’s co-founders Jane Poynter and Taber MacCallum.

If Branson’s adventure proves successful, it could pave the way for future tourist flights.
The capsule will have a capacity of eight passengers, with seats available for $125,000 (115,000 euros).

A ticket doesn’t just buy a seat – passengers will also be able to enjoy cocktails, meal service, high-speed WIFI and incredible views of their planet. The flight will take 6 hours.
Despite the hefty price tag, Space Perspective said that to date there have been more than 1,800 bookings.
