The International Digital Technology and Innovation Exhibition, Beyond 2025, launched on April 4 and will run until April 6, is being held this year at the Metropolitan Exhibition Center, Athens. This is the top meeting of the brightest minds, the most innovative companies, and all the cutting -edge technologies.

The Beyond exhibition in Athens was inaugurated by the European Commission’s Sustainable Transport and Tourism Commissioner Apostolos Tzitzikostas.

He said he supported the exhibition born in Thessaloniki, with all his might as it is a very timely exhibition for innovation and especially this year for AI, for artificial intelligence, which is now good for our lives. “As a European Commission we are already working out a plan for artificial intelligence that will be implemented pan -European, to ensure that artificial intelligence will have only positively for the economy and for the societies of the 27 states. It is very important that the rules come now so that artificial intelligence can grow and even be able to manage the portfolio I manage, such as cars, transport, and infrastructure, to become even more efficient and even more intelligent for the benefit of both citizen“, Mr Tzitzikostas said and added that this year the exhibitors and exhibits have increased significantly.

The Pavilion of the Region of Central Macedonia was honored by the presence of the Deputy Minister of Development. Stavros Kalafatis said, among other things: “Greece is on a contemporary development trajectory with the main components of research, start -up businesses and the synergy of all shareholders that make up and form a modern system of innovation. The mere fact that in recent years we have put in our daily vocabulary, both in terms of education, but mainly in terms of modern business, concepts such as digital transformation, robotics, and most importantly, innovation, now shows that Greece is walking in the new era with optimism. It is the choice of the government, the Prime Minister himself, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, to invest in the part of new technologies and to be able to convey the concept of innovation to every action. It is the key to the evolution of the future in an environment of geopolitical and economic, European but also international volatile and continuous surprises. So what we do as a country is to invest in our competitive advantages: our only lively research potential, the excellent academics and the synergy we need to have, with Stakeholders, the shareholders of the innovation system, so that there can be improved daily life of the citizens and enhancing citizens’ daily life. “.

Two major technological achievements were presented by the Region of Central Macedonia, which is participating this year with 13 themes, more than 100 speakers and many innovative products this year.

The organization of all the presence of the Region was curated by Central Macedonia Digital Governor Nikos Tzollas, who told RES – EIA: “Innovation has no limits. It is enough to put a soul, to put a taste, the effort and to take care of what you do. The Region of Central Macedonia believed from the first moment in the creation of an exhibition that has a reference to technology and innovation. We are a small country, we must all unite forces, do synergies, attract even more foreign investment. Technology, artificial intelligence and robotics can help the citizen, the daily life of the citizen and entrepreneurship with the aim of producing new products, new digital tools, to reduce production costs, to create economies of scale from the synergies, to have a financial footprint, to the creation of a contemporary,

The presentation of the technological activities that the Central Macedonia region is running was extremely impressive, as visitors had the opportunity to admire the spot, the Boston Dynamics yellow -black four -black robot robots. Hundreds of visitors have seen the potential for the movement, adaptation and autonomy of the robot, which has attracted the attention of the global technology community and is used in industries, rescue research and construction, while abnormal territory has no challenge and difficulty for the spot.

The four -legged robot and its potential, presented by Dr. Dimitris Yakoumis, a researcher at CERTH, in the Laboratory of Intelligent Systems and Robotics. As he told us, the spot belongs to the Institute of Transport, and has the ability to move into abnormal territories, climb steps and perform missions, even in forests. “This particular robot may carry out an overview and surveillance of critical infrastructures in industries, as well as agricultural crops.”

At the Pavilion of the Region of Central Macedonia, Alphafold, the leading AI tool, which has incorporated Google Deepmind’s Nobel Prize -winning chemistry technology, was also presented. Visitors to the PKM stand will have the opportunity to find out how artificial intelligence reveals the structure of proteins, overturning data in biomedical research and pharmaceuticals.

In 2026, the Beyond exhibition will take place in Thessaloniki.
