Astronomers have discovered new elements that suggest that a mysterious ninth planet can be hidden at the edge of the solar system – rewriting what we know about the universe.
An international team from Taiwan, Japan and Australia used 40 years of data from two spaceships to identify what they believe are signs that this distant planet is moving around our sun.
The planet nine (or planet X as NASA calls it) first appeared as a real chance in 2016, when two astronomers from the California Institute of Technological Institute presented evidence of a large gravitational force (one planet) far beyond Poseidon.
Now, a new study has limited a list of 13 candidates to a single possible object that is slowly moving around our sun at a distance of about 46.5 billion to 65.1 billion miles away.
To put it in perspective, this new planet on the outer outline of the solar system would be almost 20 times farther than the sun than Pluto.
Pluto, who lost his capacity as the ninth planet in 2006, is less than four billion miles away from the Sun, in the Kapper Zone – an area in our solar system beyond Neptune full of frozen objects, comets and dwarfs such as Pluto.
Since this hidden planet may be so far away, the new study assumes that it is probably a frozen giant like heaven or Neptune.
Under these circumstances, the only possibility of life there would probably be what scientists call themselves, that is, germs that can survive and thrive in incredibly harsh conditions where most forms of life would die.
These conditions may include very high or low temperatures, high pressure, extreme acidity or even high levels of radiation.
On Earth, they live near underwater volcanic holes, frozen glaciers in the South Pole, and even in the inanimate Atacama desert of Chile.
On the planet nine, the conditions would undoubtedly be even worse. The study, which is still on the ARXIV pre -pronunciation server as it expects peer assessment, found that the planet is nine is so far from the sun that the temperature would probably range between -364 ° F and -409 ° F.
Based on gravitational attraction, scientists believe that the distant planet would have the mass of seven to seventeen planets – making it about the size of the sky or Neptune.

The study used data from the astronomical satellite (IRAS), launched in 1983, and Akari, a Japanese satellite who made space observations between 2006 and 2007. Both scanned the whole sky to catch infrared marks from distant objects. However, the key was the 23 -year -old gap between their observations, which allowed astronomers to look for something that moves slowly in the sky.
Comparing the two sets of data from these space satellites, the international team was able to search for distant space bodies that traveled about three “thin corners” per year.
Based on the 2016 study, which estimated that the planet was nine among 46.5 billion and 65.1 billion miles away, astronomers began looking for objects in orbit around the sun within the three minutes of the arc.
Over 23 years, astronomers estimated that the planet would have been between 42 and 69.6 minutes of fate.
They combined this motion pattern with the gravitational effect that scientists believe that the planet has nine in the Kuiper zone to limit the search for 13 distant objects to a single one that appears to match the description of a distant world that pulls the frozen zone of the solar system beyond.
Astronomers noted that with only two detects (one from IRAS and one from Akari) they are not enough to map the full orbit of the planet nine or to confirm that it is really a planet.
While scientists are still trying to confirm the existence of the planet nine, NASA reports that the proof that this frozen giant is real would help astronomers explain various mysteries of our solar system.
