The systematic, illegal monitoring of Android devices has been carried out by Mark Zukeburg’s META and Yandex search engine, according to experts.

Academics at Radboud University in the Netherlands and Imdea Networks announced that they have discovered that Meta and Yandex are monitoring the activity of the Android browser without consent- and then use their personal data in their applications.

Gunes ACAR, Assistant Professor at Radboud University, said the “secret” data collection was found in January.

Meta applications, including Facebook and Instagram, and Yandex applications, such as Yandex Maps, ‘Watch’ and recorded what Android devices did in browsers tissue, without the user consenting or even knowing it.

“They bridge these two worlds that we believe are special: the internet tour and mobile application activities,” Dr. Acar told Sky News. “This is very shocking,” he said.

In fact, applications were able to track users’ browser data in all major Android browsers, Even if the user was in a state of “anonymous browsing”.

“It is truly alarming because it negates any privacy programs that modern browsers have, but also on modern mobile platforms such as Android,” said Narso Vallina-Rodriguez, Associate Professor at Imdea Networks, Sky News.

OR Googlewhich holds the Android operating system, confirmed Illegal activity, stating that Meta and Yandex used Android’s capabilities “in unintentional ways that are grossly violating our principles for security and confidentiality”.
