A recent photo sent to Earth by NASA Curiosity rover from Mars, has thrilled alien hunters, as it depicts a formation on the rocks that looks amazingly like a door. The image was captured by the rover’s Mast Camera on May 7, 2022.
As has happened again, however, with strange geological formations, such as cube of the Moonour imagination creates what we might like to see.
The wider photo taken by the rover includes a larger rock formation filled with cracks from pressures that may have been caused by earthquakes.
Seeing the door in relation to the whole photo mosaic, we see that they are among other shapes, cracks and other erosion characteristics on the entire surface of the rock formation.
Our imagination and the hope of finding something special on another planet often defines what we see, such as a fish-like rock or its face. Mars, however the geological features of an alien planet remain just that. Rocks that have been sculpted only since the centuries of the conditions and the door of Mars may not have even aroused our curiosity if it had been photographed with the shadows from a different angle…
