Jen Psaki on MSNBC – With her own show from 2023

by

Former White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki is part of the MSNBC staff and will present its own show from 2023.

The cable news channel, which belongs to the NBC Universal group, announced today its new acquisition. Jen Psaki, of Greek origin, left the White House on May 13.

She will appear on MSNBC and NBC News shows until the show staff is ready. According to information from the news department, Psaki’s show will be broadcast by NBC Universal’s Peacock streaming platform from the first quarter of 2023.

At this stage, Jen Psaki will not have a show on MSNBC, a decision that came as a surprise to such a high-profile recruit. Her successful tenure in the White House newsroom has made her a familiar face to viewers and MSNBC could use her in the prime time zone, analysts point out.

MSNBC’s biggest star, Rachel Mantow, has reduced her presence on the channel to once a week, on Monday nights. The network alternates presenters in the 9 p.m. the other days of the week.

Jen Psaki is not new to the TV news. She has been a CNN contributor since serving as White House communications director under Barack Obama and a State Department spokesman. In 2004 he participated in the election campaign of the then US presidential candidate John Kerry.

Psaki’s name is now on a list of former White House officials who have appeared on television newscasts.. George Stefanopoulos held Psaki’s presidency during the Clinton presidency before joining ABC News. Dana Perino, co-host of Fox News’ “The Five,” was in the same position as George W. Bush, while MSNBC’s Nicole Wallace was communications director at the time.

Former White House spokeswoman Kaylee McEvaney is co-hosting the talk show “Outnumbered” on Fox News, while Sean Spicer (also a White House spokeswoman for Trump) is on Newsmax.

Jen Psaki was succeeded a few days ago by Karin Jean-Pierre, who became the first black and member of the LGBTQI community to take over as White House spokeswoman.
