by

Ankara’s demands from Finland and Sweden for NATO membership were reported by a spokesman for the Turkish presidency on Wednesday. Ibrahim Kalin.

“Turkey tells Sweden and Finland that the PKK, the YPG and the PYD are all the same terrorist groups, while FETO (Gulen) is a terrorist group,” said a spokesman for the Turkish presidency.

“Turkey has called on Sweden and Finland to take concrete measures against terrorist groups to address Ankara ‘s security concerns,” Kalin said.

The Turkish official intervened on delegations from the two Nordic countries “It is in Ankara that it expects the ‘proper implementation’ of the principles of the 1999 NATO Summit, the procedures related to the accession process”.

“Turkey has seen a positive attitude “On the lifting of sanctions on arms exports,” the president’s spokesman said after meeting with Swedish and Finnish officials. “It is unacceptable for NATO allies to impose sanctions on each other,” he said, referring to the arms embargo.

According to SKAI correspondent Manolis Kostidis, the negotiations will continue, while a meeting within NATO may take place. It is noted that 10 days ago Erdogan was much tougher against Helsinki and Stockholm.
