It’s been more than 20 years since Joana Prado stopped being the Feiticeira, iconic character of “Programa H”, in Band, but she continues to be remembered as one of the sex symbols of the late 1990s. Vitor Belfort often admits that he suffered at the time with his work and that he was terrified of people’s judgments. So much so that she tried to preserve herself as much as possible when it came to relationships.
“I speak with affection of the Enchantress, because only God knows how much I suffered, but also how much I had fun, grew, matured and learned at the time. Even though I was a sex symbol, I never literally sold my body. If I stayed with three guys from the artistic world, it was a lot. One of them was Vitor. I’ve always preserved myself a lot”, he admits.
In a live with Karina Bacchi, recently separated from Amaury Nunes, Joana reinforces her regret for having posed naked. “Of course I regretted it. Why, for me, [a palavra] repentance, in Hebrew, is change of direction, so I have to change my direction. In Greek, it’s change of mind, I have to change my mind. I regretted it, yes, which means I don’t want to do what I used to do anymore,” he explains.
She made it clear that she has no problem remembering the time of Enchantress, but that she lives another moment in her life and, therefore, she would like people to be curious about the current phase as well. “I have three wonderful children, a blessed husband, I have Jesus in my heart, who is the master of my life, and that everything I do is based on biblical principles. I am not perfect and I am far from being. I ask God for forgiveness every day, but I follow the path of Christ”, he concludes.
