Preferential price for Serbia in gas supply promised the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin in a telephone conversation he had with his Serbian counterpart Aleksandar Vucic.

The price of gas will be determined based on the price of crude oil and will range from $ 310 to $ 408 per thousand cubic meters of natural gas.“Vucic told reporters after a conversation he had with the Russian president. He clarified that the agreement will last for three years and will supply 2.2 billion cubic meters. Serbia had a ten-year contract with GazProm expiring on May 31st.
Mr Vuτςiτς points out that today’s agreement with Mr Putin achieves energy security for next winter when – as he said – Serbia will pay for gas up to ten times cheaper than other European countries. .
The issue of Ukraine was also mentioned during the Vuτςi–Putin telephone conversation. Mr Vuτςiτς said that the Russian president had informed him of the situation and that “the peace plan proposed by Moscow is already on the table, Kyiv knows it as well as the centers of power of the western countries». Al. Vuτςiτς told reporters that Vladimir Putin had briefed him on some aspects of the plan, but declined to disclose them.
