Zelensky visited today Ukrainian soldiers fighting on the front lines of the Kharkiv conflict.
Immediately after his visit, several loud explosions were heard in Kharkov. Large columns of smoke became visible from the northeast of the city center.
The visit marks his first official appearance outside the Kiev region since the start of the Russian invasion on February 24.
“You are endangering your lives, for all of us and for our country,” said the website of the Ukrainian presidential office, citing Zelensky’s statement, adding that the Ukrainian president had given excellence and gifts to the soldiers.
