“We need to be prepared for the possibility that these weapons may be trafficked to neighboring countries or elsewhere,” said Jürgen Stock.
A clear warning, in order to take timely measures, is sent by the head of Interpol, Jürgen Stock, claiming that the weapons sent by western governments to Ukrainewill end up – after the war or sooner – on the black market and in the hands of criminal organizations.
Jürgen Stock lamented the attitude of those who applaud and contribute to the promotion of weapons systems in Ukraine, as well as “Once the war is over, these weapons will be turned into illegality.”
He added: “Right now, criminal organizations are focusing on organizing for the trafficking of these weapons.”.
“These criminal groups are trying to maintain the chaotic situation and the availability of weapons, even for those used by the army, even heavy weapons systems.”, stressed the head of Interpol and added: “These weapons will be available in the criminal market and will be a challenge for all of us. “No state or group can control this, because these groups operate globally.”
“We must prepare for this eventuality, and in particular for the possibility of these weapons being trafficked to neighboring countries or elsewhere.”he stressed Jürgen Stock He added: “We encourage states to use the tools at their disposal to reduce this. “Criminals are interested in all kinds of weapons.”
