Russia-Coronavirus: Doctors Invite Celebrity-Refusal Vaccines to Visit Hospitals

by

Well-known doctors in Russia today called on celebrities and politicians who oppose the covid-19 vaccine to go to hospitals that receive patients with coronavirus to see with their own eyes the consequences of the disease.

In an open letter, published by the state-run TASS news agency, eleven front-line doctors addressed a dozen Russian public figures who recently voiced their opposition to the covid-19 vaccine on social media, which has thousands of followers.

“We are all a little busy at the moment and you can guess why,” they wrote in the letter, which was signed by Dennis Protsekno, chief physician of Moscow’s largest hospital that treats patients with covid-19.

“But because a lot of people are reading and listening to you, we will find time to arrange for you a visit to the ‘red zones’, the intensive care unit and the pathology department,” the doctors said.

“Maybe after that you will change your mind and fewer people will die,” they added.

More than 1,000 deaths of covid-19 patients have been reported daily in Russia for weeks, as Russians are cautious about vaccines against the disease.

Despite repeated calls from Russian President Vladimir Putin and the existence of Russian vaccines, only 37.5% of Russians have been immunized so far, according to the Gogov website.

The doctors’ letter was addressed, among other things, to Oscar Kutsera, a TV personality who has 300,000 followers on Instagram and who has questioned the effectiveness of the vaccines, to the actor Egor Beroev, who compared the vaccination certificates with the yellow star worn by the Evras. to the Nazi regime and rock star Konstantin Kinchev who stated that “I do not want to live in a digital concentration camp.”

The doctors also addressed the leader of the Communist Party, Gennady Zyuganov, whose party is organizing demonstrations against compulsory vaccination and health care.

Russia, which has recorded a total of 9.4 million cases of covid-19 and 267,819 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic, is the fifth country in the world in terms of deaths.
