“If such missiles are given to Kyiv, ‘we will hit targets we have not yet hit,'” Putin said in an interview with state television network Rossiya-1.

However, Putin did not name the targets that Russia planned to hit if the West began supplying Ukraine with longer-range missiles.

Ukraine is looking for missile launchers (MLRS), such as the M270 and M142 HIMARS, to strike at Russian forces.

The American president, Joe Bidenannounced a few days ago that plans to give Ukraine missiles HIMARS precision systems, after receiving assurances from Kyiv that it would not use them to hit targets inside Russia.

Although Russian officials have warned that the US decision to supply Ukraine with advanced missile systems could exacerbate the conflict, Putin said it would not bring about fundamental changes on the battlefield.
