A shooting at a nightclub in Tennessee killed three people and injured 14 others.
Chattanooga Police Chief Celeste Murphy told reporters that two of the victims died of gunshot wounds and the third was fatally injured after a car crashed at the scene.
Just before 3 a.m. Sunday, three people were attacked by a car leaving the area.
Senior Murphy said it was an “isolated incident” and added that there were likely “several archers”.
He said the situation behind it was still unclear and appealed for witnesses, ABC News reported.
“No matter how small or insignificant you think, reach out to us,” added Senior Executive Murphy.
The identities of the victims and possible suspects are still unknown.
The police chief told reporters: “At 2:42 a.m. this morning, the Central Police Station responded to the 2100 McCall block with a shooting at a nearby nightclub.
As soon as they arrived at the scene, they found many victims and began to help and protect the workplace.
“At this point we can see 14 victims with firearms and 3 victims attacked by a car trying to flee the scene.
“Three fatal cases have been identified, two related to gunshot wounds and one related to injuries as a result of a car accident.
“Some victims are in crisis.
“Both women and men are injured. Of these, 16 are adults and one is a minor.”
It has been a week since six teenagers were shot to death after two large groups clashed in the city of Chattanooga.
