Ukraine’s defense minister said he was “optimistic” that the war with Russia could end by the end of the year.

Olexie Reznikov discussed the conflict at the International Security Forum as the invasion reached its 100th day.

He said: “Russia continues its efforts to occupy our entire state.

“At the moment it is impossible to predict when the war will end, but my optimistic prediction is that it will be possible this year.

But he warned that as long as Russia occupies part of Ukraine, other nations are at risk.

According to him, the next ones are Poland, the Baltic countries, Slovakia, etc.

“So we have to stop Russia and stop it in the future.”

French President Emmanuel Macron criticized Ukraine for comments urging leaders not to undermine Russia.

“Do not humiliate Russia to build an exit ramp by diplomatic means on the day the battle ends,” Macron told a local French newspaper.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba wrote on Twitter: “A call to avoid humiliation of Russia can only humiliate France and all other countries that demand it.”

“We are all more focused on how to put Russia in its place,” he added.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the troops are now forcing the Ukrainians to withdraw from the Siversky River to Lysychans’k through Donetsk.

British officials say Russia is deploying significant troops to the region as a result of “progressive progress”.

If Russia completely controls Severodonetsk and Lysychans’k, Lugansk will be under Moscow’s control.

The Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs said that civilian bodies were excavated in the Kyiv region when the withdrawal of Russian troops exceeded 1,300 years.
