An 84-year-old man appeared before the acting members of the Limassol TAE around 9:15 on Monday morning, who confessed that he had killed his 82-year-old wife.

The scene, according to Mr. Kyriakou, has been ruled out and examinations are being conducted. He added that the woman seems to have been hit with a hammer on the head. From the examinations so far, he noted, the two allegedly discussed their personal issues before the 84-year-old fatally injured his wife. As he said, the elderly couple has never been involved with the authorities before.
At the same time, he said, a deposition is taken from the 84-year-old and an arrest warrant is expected to be issued within the day.
Newer information says that the confessed perpetrator, at first sight, seems to have surprised and hit his wife five times in the head, however this will be ascertained after the autopsy conducted by the medical examiners Angeliki Papetta and Orthodox Orthodox.
